Busrail System Issues Report

Beginning in October 2013, Panoptic Solutions has been inspecting and testing Bus Rail systems for a large (over 1 million square foot) data center operator. The following table summarizes the issues found during these preventative maintenance procedures.

As summarized above we inspected 3573 devices finding 196 issues representing a 5.5% incident rate.

This is a thermal image indicating poor termination inside the stab to the busrail. Upon removal and inspection, it was determined a poor solder joint was the issue.
